Automation Plastics - Plastic Injection Molding, Engineering, & Design

Automation Plastics was contracted to create a series of tools for an up and coming consumer product company called Disc Dealer, Inc. Disc Dealer makes innovative CD/DVD retail and home office products.

One of the critical components of the CD holder product line was the addition of a small groove to grip the CD or DVD without scratching data and to meet all patent specifications.

"Since cost is always an issue, the Automation Plastics team helped us map a strategy to deliver the appropriate cavity tools for our production needs. Also, because we were shooting with translucent plastic for retail sales, Automation Plastics suggested we polish the top of the product and sand blast the bottom to create an interesting effect, thus increasing the products perceived value. It worked and it looks great!"
